Stablecoins

Stablecoins are digital assets or currencies pegged to a stable reserve asset. They are designed to reduce volatility relative to unpegged cryptocurrencies and are useful as a medium of exchange.

Why They Matter

To serve as a medium of exchange, a currency must remain relatively stable. In fiat currencies, volatility is usually limited. In cryptocurrencies, intraday volatility can be very high.
