Email Encryption

This process requires validation of a valid email address and domain.

Individual Validation

This process identifies each individual employee separately. These certificates include the owner’s name along with the email address. A government-issued identity document and a validated email address are required to obtain one.

Organization Validation

The purpose of this process is to verify that an organization with a specific name exists and is operating. In this respect, obtaining an S/MIME certificate resembles the process of obtaining an Organization Validation (OV) TLS certificate.
